The Dyson blog: Design to Value and the Environmental Emergency

I’ve been messing around with my recipe for the last few years and I think I’ve finally found one that I really love and is still in keeping with my pre-requisites for a good crock pot recipe: It can’t take more than 5 or 10 minutes to throw together, and there is absolutely NO PRE-BROWNING ALLOWED!

Do you see that carpet? It hurts the eyes, I know.

I usually try to hide it from you, but you have a right to know.Hopefully we’ll get some hardwood in here soon.. We don’t have any curtains hung yet, so we made this little banner as a temporary solution..I also got a chance to clean up the mudroom a bit and make it feel a little more seasonally appropriate.. You’ve heard of cheap and cheerful?

I call this cheap, ugly, and cheerful.I know it’s really not something I would usually like at all, but the bright colours still make me feel a little happier when I see them.

There’s more too, but I’ll spare you!.

And that’s where we’ll stop for today.Get a jar from a burned out candle.

Does anyone else find it hilarious that this candle is called “Kitchen Clean” and you can see piles of dishes waiting to be put away in the back ground?.It doesn’t really even have to a big bowl bowl.

Just a small amount of cold water will do.. We’re going to melt that wax out!.Stir it around a little with a butter knife or something to ensure all the wax gets melted.. Pour all that melted wax mixed with hot water out and into the bowl of cold water..
